Allu Aravind inks a 'deal' with UP government

Investments in the UP government’s prestigious UP Investors’ Summit have reached a climax. Many big names and luminaries of the corporate world participated in this Summit and extended their support to the UP government. An interesting part of the Summit was the buzz created by Tollywood celebrity producer Allu Aravind.

Bahubali’s scale, grandeur and success have inspired the Indian Film Industry like never before. Producers are now willing to invest colossal budgets on films. Recently, a 1000 crore film on the ‘Mahabharata’ was the talk of the media. Now, talks are on to make the ‘Ramayana’ on a budget of Rs 500 crores. This movie is to be made in the 3D format and released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Allu Aravind is to co-produce the film with Madhu Manthena and Namit Malhotra. The three producers have inked a deal about the movie with the UP government.

UP Investors’ Summit provided a platform for the MoU between the makers of ‘Ramayana’ and the UP Cinematography department ‘ Film Bandhu’. The Uttar Pradesh government has assured full support in the shooting of this big budget movie. In shooting key scenes in places like Ayodhya, the government’s support will be needed for permissions and keeping law and order issues in mind. The true purpose of the deal is to gain this government support. While there is no clarity on the technical crew or the cast, the film shooting is expected to begin in October or November of this year, the makers revealed. Allu Aravind and Madhu Manthena have worked together in the past to produce the Hindi version of ‘Ghajini’.
