The comets which are too far away from the solar system often gives a blink and miss appearances. The NASA scientists have been carrying extensive researches on these comets which only appear during the night for a few seconds. Recently, they revealed that a comet set to make its closest approach to Earth next week is now the brightest comet in the night sky, casting a green glow overhead that stretches as wide as Jupiter.
Named as Comet 46P/Wirtanen, this comet follows a 5.4-year orbit and is already close enough to be seen with a telescope, binoculars or even with a naked eye.
When the comet was seen through the Telescope on 7th of last month, it was in the size of a moon and was at a distance of 35,000 million kilometers from the earth.
