There has been widespread speculation that TRS leader Harish Rao might be forced to vacate his Siddpet Assembly seat and move to Lok Sabha. The comments made by KCR’s niece Ramya Rao have gained importance now.
However, a latest social media post by Harish Rao’s cousin and presently Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Regulapati Ramya Rao has indicated that Harish would indeed contest the Lok Sabha elections.

The post by Ramya Rao said: “There will be by-elections to Siddipet assembly seat in another four months. Taneeru Sreenitha will be contesting as an MLA.” For the sake of records, Sreenitha is the wife of Harish Rao. It would mean Harish will have to quit the Siddipet assembly seat and contest the LS polls.

Sources, however, said even if Harish Rao contests the LS polls, one suspects whether KCR will field Harish’s wife Sreenitha in the Siddipet by-polls.
