The Indian army has taken its first revenge for the horrific Pulwama attack which claimed the lives of more than 40 CRPF soldiers by gunning down Kamran, a top Jaish-e-Mohammed commander and a suspected mastermind of the Pulwama terror attack. He was killed in a 12-hour-long operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pingalan area on Monday.
The overnight operation by the Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police was conducted after a specific tip-off. Four army men including a Major were also killed during the encounter.
The army men killed in today’s encounter have been identified as Major VS Dhoundiyal, Havaldar Sheo Ram, Sepoy Ajay Kumar, and Sepoy Hari Singh. Apart from military personnel, one civilian was reportedly killed during the gun battle.

Kamran is said to be an expert in training the suicide bombers and using the EIDs. Though he escaped from the army several times, he was finally gunned down by the Indian army in an open fire battle.
