Ireland's Kevin O'Brien creates history in Test cricket

It’s a moment of jubilation and celebration for Ireland’s Kevin O’Brien who scored a ton on his country’s test debut. Interestingly, Kevin O’Brien is the only fourth batsman in the world to score a century on their country’s test debut.
Ireland which hardly had any exposure to cricket and their step up from LOIs (Limited Over Internationals) to test cricket was awaited by much of the cricketing world.

While the first day of Ireland’s Test debut was washed due to incessant rain, the other three days till today has been exemplary for them.
At the end of play on Day 4, Ireland were 319 for 7, leading Pakistan by 139 runs. They were enforced follow on after they were bowled out for a mere 130 in their first ever Test innings.
After the first day was washed out, Pakistan came out to bat on the second day and declared their innings at 310 for 9. Their bowling attack then tore the Irish batting unit. But after being enforced the follow-on, the home side have batted really well to get a sizeable lead an opportunity to win on their debut test.
