Despite no success, Bellamkonda Srinivas is lucky enough to get chance to romance with the star heroines and feature in high-budget movies. After a series of debacles, Bellamkonda has pinned all his hopes on the high-voltage action drama ‘Kavacham’ which hit the screens today. Let’s see whether this movie can resurrect his sagging career or not.
Vijay (Bellamkonda) is an upright SI at Vishakapatnam who dreams of becoming an Encounter specialist. He falls in love with a rich girl Samyukta (Kajal) and wants to make her his life partner. When everything seems going fine, she goes missing and at the same time, she saves a girl Mehreen from the kidnappers.
However, he was framed in the kidnapping and he tries hard to prove his innocence. Where did Kajal go and who is behind the conspiracy is the story all about.
Bellamkonda Srinivas has improved a bit in acting, but he needs to focus more on his dialogue delivery and expressions.
Though Kajal is the star attraction of the movie, her role doesn’t have much scope to emote.
Surprisingly, it’s Mehreen who bagged the most crucial role in the movie and she’s just okay.
Interval bang is quite interesting.
The entire first half is uninteresting and boring except the interval part.
The unnecessary scenes between Kajal and Bellamkonda don’t evoke any interest.
Too many twists and turns make the movie a tedious watch.
On the whole, ‘Kavacham’ is another typical cop drama that works only in parts. It might please the mass audience to a bit, but would be outrightly rejected by the multiplex audience.
