Mecca Masjid blast case: Judge who acquitted all 5 accused resigns

On Monday, all the five accused in the Mecca Masjid blast case of 2007 were acquitted and hours after declaring the same, the judge in Hyderabad handed in his resignation.

Judge Ravinder Reddy, who delivered the verdict, resigned by citing personal reasons. He handed over his resignation to the Metropolitan Sessions Judge.
According to news agency PTI, Judge Reddy said his decision had nothing to do with today’s judgement and he had been considering resigning for quite some time.
