‘Macho Hero’ Gopichand who has been delivering duds on a trot is highly hopeful on ‘Pantham’. Interestingly, this is his 25th film. Let’s see whether this landmark film can revive the sagging fortunes of Gopichand or not.

Story:
The movie falls into the category of rob the rich and help the poor, a Robinhood template kind of story, that’s been tried umpteen times on the silver screen.

Gopichand plays a smart thief who can even steal the minister’s convoy and targets the Home Minister Nayak Bhai (Sampath Raj). Why did Gopichand target Home Minister and what’s his motive behind the thefts forms the rest of the story.

Positives:
Racy Screenplay
Comedy
Dialogues

Drawbacks:
Routine story

Analysis:
‘Pantham’ is a regular commercial movie with some satires and politicians and corruption in the society with an underlying social message. This movie may appeal to a certain class of audiences especially the B, and C centers.

Verdict:
On the whole, ‘Pantham’ is an average movie which could have been a bit better to give a new lease of life to the sagging career of Gopichand. The success rate depends on the fate of other movies releasing in a couple of days.
