RBI set to introduce new Rs 100 currency note

Post the demonetization in 2016, the RBI has made some random changes to the currency notes. After banning the Rs 1000 note, the government has introduced it with Rs 2000 note and completely changed the look of Rs 500 denomination.
As per the latest update, Reserve Bank is expected to introduce new Rs 100 notes soon.
As per the latest report, the new Rs 100 note is being printed at Dewas-based Bank Note Press and might be launched in August or by September. With the introduction of new Rs 100 notes, the old currency of the said denomination will not be impacted.
The new notes with several new micro-security features will bear the impression of Gujarat’s historic stepwell Rani ki Vav, the report added.
The new Rs 100 note will be smaller than the previous version and be slightly bigger than the Rs 10 note. This means that banks may have to again recalibrate the ATMs to accommodate the new notes.
