A slow metabolism is something you need to worry about as it sees your system ‘hanging’ onto unwanted calories.  The major signs of slow metabolism are – weight gain, cold hands and feet, insomnia etc.

Australian clinical nutritionist Rebecca Miller says that the effects can be reversed.

In order to boost your metabolism, you can do many things.

Speaking to FEMAIL, she said, “Minimising stress, prioritising sleep, drinking lots of water, exercising regularly, increasing muscle mass and visiting your GP for check-ups can definitely assist.”

Make sure that you include foods that are rich in Iodine, Vitamin A, D, E, K, C, Iron, Tyrosine, Zinc, Selenium, B-complex and Omega 3 fatty acids.

Add foods like – fish, green leafy vegetables, fruits, poultry, eggs, almonds, soybeans, dairy products, butter and cheese etc.
