The Supreme Court of Indian passed a new verdict with a few modifications on the dance bars in Maharastra. The Supreme court has given the permission to the orchestra in the bars but put aside the request to install CCTV cameras as it would violate privacy.

The SC also said that there’s no necessity to have dance floors and barrooms separate. It restricted the customers from throwing money on the dancers, instead, it supported the tips.

The Supreme Court also quashed the Maharastra government’s rules that the bars should be 1km away from the temples and educational institutions. However, the SC supported the government’s rule that the dance bars should function only from 6 pm till 11:30 pm.
