Then Pandit Nehru, and now it's Allu Arjun

‘Stylish star’ Allu Arjun who amassed huge popularity in Kerala is fondly called as ‘Mallu Arjun’ by his fans. The star hero had even donated Rs 25 lakhs to the Kerala CM Relief Fund, following the devastation caused due to massive floods.

Appreciating Allu Arjun’s gesture, the Kerala government has invited Allu Arjun as a guest of honor at the popular Nehru Trophy Boat Race which will be held in Alapuzha on November 10. Apart from Allu Arjun, several popular Malayali and other South Indian film stars will attend this iconic event.

A traditional festival for the Keralites, this boat race was first started in 1952 and India’s first Prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had distributed the prizes to the winners.
