Vijay's 'Sarkar' lands in a political controversy

Of late, it’s become quite common for Tamil Superstar Vijay’s films to land in controversies. After stirring a controversy with a dialogue in his movie ‘Mersal’, now, Vijay’s latest movie ‘Sarkar’ too landed in a controversy.

Actress Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar who played an important role with grey shades has been receiving wider laurels for her performance in the movie. But, it’s the name of her character in the movie that’s been drawing all the flak.

The AIADMK has been criticizing that Varalaxmi’s name in the movie is Komalavelli which is the original name of Jayalalithaa before entering the movies. The irate followers of AIADMK have been carrying protests across Tamilnadu and creating the ruckus. However, the team of ‘Sarkar’ is happy for the free publicity given by the political party.
