Why is Chandra Babu pressurizing Balakrishna on NTR's biopic

Trends in cinema come and go, but the trend of showing realism in cinema is going strong. Last two to three years have seen a deluge of biopics and there are more in store in Tollywood. It was films like Savitri’s biopic
‘Mahanati’ that inspired the filmmakers to come up with more biopics.
The biopics ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’, Mahanati’, are some of the few examples of how the trend was lapped up by the filmmakers. To add to the list there are upcoming movies like ‘Yatra’ (a biopic on YSR), NTR (a biopic on NTR) and Sye Raa (a biopic on Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy) also will be among the big releases next year.
All the biopics are in the making and director Krish had decided to make NTR’s biopic a memorable one and picked the artists already. While Balakrishna plays his father NTR, Vidya Balan plays NTR’s wife (Basavatarakam) and Sumanth plays his grandfather ANR’s role. Mohan Babu (SVR), Savitri (Keerthy Suresh), LV Prasad (Jishnu), Nadendla Baskar Rao (Sachin), Prakash Raj (BN Reddy), Naresh (BA Subba Rao) got selected for the respective roles.

Though Balakrishna had announced to release the movie by Sankranthi next year, the movie got stalled after Teja walked out of the project and there have been doubts over the project ever since. Surprisingly, Krish took over the project and is putting all the efforts to wrap up the project at the earliest to release it by Sankranthi which is raising many doubts.
It’s widely buzzed that it’s Chandra Babu Naidu who is insisting Balakrishna to get the movie release by Sankranthi, few months before the elections to capitalize on the craze of the movie to fetch votes. On the other hand, YSR’s biopic ‘Yatra’ is also gearing up for release through which YSRCP can benefit. Maybe this could be one of the reasons why Chandra Babu is insisting Balakrishna wrap up the biopic at the earliest.
